Stoke City are looking to make a strong start to the next season, after the one that has seen them finish in the 13th position in the Premier League. The Potters are on course to revamp their line-up and have already signed two influential players in the form of experienced midfielder Darren Fletcher and young left back Josh Tymon, who has signed with them on Wednesday for a term of five years from Hull City.
The Potters boss Mark Hughes is well aware of the fact that this can be the last season of his career with Stoke if he fails to perform well. He has already been under fire for the disappointing performance of the last season, but with the club hierarchy keeping faith in him for the next season, he is now looking forward to bring in a number of players into the side to rebuild it and present a strong challenge in the next term with their performance.
Josh Tymon has been one of the most highly regarded youngsters and has looked impressive in the few appearances that he made in the last season for his former club Hull City. The Tigers, who were relegated in the last season from the top tier, and will be playing in the Championship in the next term, tried their best to convince the left back to stay with them but have failed to do so, as the English international denied penning down a new contract with the club for the next season.
The 18-year-old has been considered to be one of the future stars for England and has been highly appreciated for his performances at the under 17, under 18 and under 20 competitions. The Hull City Vice-Chairman Ehab Allam has said that after the youngster made his debut for the senior team, who is a product of their academy, they were pretty much sure that he will stay back with them for quite a few seasons to come.
However, their departure from the Premier League and grave interest in the left back from the Potters made the youngster to take the decision of leaving the club in the summer.
The left back has been involved in only five games in the last season for the Tigers but he showed that he is capable of playing well in the limited amount of opportunities. Hopefully, Stoke City will provide him the right platform to showcase his skills and hone them in the proper way to make a future star out of him.
