Manchester City are looking to make a good start in the new season and make amends for the lost chances in the last term, thus looking to win some major silverware. They have got themselves a strong side for the next season and have got some of the biggest players in the game to play for them in the next season.
The Citizens started the summer transfer season with a bang, by signing one of the best midfielders in Europe in the form of the Portuguese maestro Bernardo Silva, whom they procured from the French Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco. They also brought in one of the best talents beneath the crossbar in the form of Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson, who had been brilliant throughout the last season for the reigning Portuguese champions Benfica.
The former Premier League champions have not shown any signs of slowing down and have got their hands on another much desired player for them, whom their current coach Pep Guardiola eyed for quite a long time, in the form of the England right back Kyle Walker, who was an ardent necessity for the team as did not have a full time right back in their line-up, with the veteran Frenchman Bacary Sagna being offloaded in the summer.
Kyle Walker was brought into the side for a whopping £50 million including the add-ons from his former club Tottenham Hotspur.The player was kept on the sidelines for most of the season in the last term after his relationship with his side’s head coach Mauricio Pochettino deteriorated and the Argentine mastermind handed most of the opportunities to start at the right back position to his compatriot Kieran Trippier.
This reportedly disappointed the Englishman and he was looking for a move out of his old club, with the opportunity being handed to him by the Citizens to start in the first team line-up. The player has been considered to be one of the best players in the world in the right back position and has been a regular in the English national team for the past few years.
The player played eight years in tandem for his last club Tottenham and is going to be a good addition nevertheless to the roster for the Citizens. He has rich experience of playing in top flight football, which is going to definitely come handy for his new club.
