Newcastle United have made it back into the top flight after one season in the Championship, and are looking forward to stern challenges from some of the big-name clubs in the Premier League. The Magpies are well aware of the fact that they will have to mould a stronger and agiler line-up to take on the biggies of the Premier League head on and have already started their pursuit to bring in players who can make it possible for them to get a good season.
Newcastle United have already clinched their first signing for the season in the form of defender Florian Lejeune from Spanish La Liga side Eibar, and they are looking forward to bring in more players in order to revamp the team for the next season. The present boss of the Magpies, Rafa Benitez, has been eyeing a number of young players from all over Europe, who can be available to be brought into his squad to strengthen it for the next term, and one of them is the Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been one of the brightest talents in England and has represented his country in the recently concluded Under 20 World Cup, which was held in South Korea. He played a pivotal role in his team, helping to win the tournament by beating Venezuela in the final by 1-0. This has attracted a number of clubs from the Premier League and Championship to bid for him in the summer.
However, the last season has not been a good one for the youngster, as he was used only twice, both times in the FA Cup against Plymouth Argyle by his club coach Jurgen Klopp. Reportedly, the German mastermind wants the youngster to have more experience under his belt before deploying him in his starting XI and is ready to send him on loan to either Middlesbrough or Newcastle United, who are the newcomers in the Premier League for the next season or any of the Championship clubs, which will enable him to get a significant amount of first team exposure.
As per sources, Rafa Benitez is much interested in having the 20-year old English international in his team for the next season, as he is quite sure that his pace and prowess will help his team to become more strong in the attacking front.
However, his interest in the winger might face stern competition from Championship club Middlesbrough, who are looking to strengthen their squad for the next term as well.
