Manchester City have already captured some of the top class players in the summer, on the back of a lacklustre season in the Premier League last term, which saw them finish without any silverware in their kitty.
The Citizens have already brought in three players, who have performed well in the last term for their clubs, in the form of Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva from AS Monaco, Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson from Benfica and English right back Kyle Walker from fellow Premier League side Tottenham.
Manchester City’s current coach Pep Guardiola will b more than disappointed with the display of his teams’ defence in the last season and is looking forward to bringing in players who can make his side’s defence look much stronger than the last season. He has already let go of experienced players like Pablo Zabaleta, Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy in the summer and is looking for reinforcements to replace them.
Having already roped in the England international Kyle Walker to play in the right back position for the next term, the Spaniard is reportedly looking forward to bring in the Real Madrid full back Danilo, who has been kept out of action at his current club by the French mastermind Zinedine Zidane, who is much more inclined towards the Spanish right back Dani Carvajal to play in the right back position for the Galacticos.
The Brazilian defender has made only 56 appearances so far for the present Spanish champions since his arrival from Porto in 2015. He has contributed with three goals and nine assists so far for his club and has been playing second fiddle to Carvajal in the recent terms.
As per sources, defending Premier League champions Chelsea are also looking forward to making a bid for the player in the summer, eyeing him as the potential replacement for the right wing back Victor Moses, who is more comfortable playing as a right winger or a midfielder. However, their plan might be scuppered by the resurgent Citizens, who are also in pursuit of the 26-year-old Brazilian full back and are looking desperately to bring him in for the next season.
Danilo is known to be equipped with a powerful long range shot and can launch screamers on the opposition goal to deceive the keeper and score for his team. He is, though, not teh fastest runner on the pitch, which can be a little problematic given the characteristics of a right wing back. However, he can make amends with his powerful presence in the backline and dispossess the opposition off the ball, making him an attractive asset. But is he the right man for City?
