Hull City are looking to bring in experienced players from the Championship sides for their next season after being relegated from the top tier in the last term. They are eyeing a number of players who have rich experience in the competition over the last few years and can help the Tigers to go to the top of the table in the next term.
One such player is the English defender Danny Batth, who has been nothing less than a stalwart in the defence of the Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers for quite some time now. The centre back is one of the most highly regarded defenders in English football and is also the captain of the Wolves.
The Indian origin player has been known for his physical strength and is a rock in the heart of the defence for his team. He is good in the air as well and can score goals from set piece situations with thumping headers finding the back of the net quite frequently. His quick clearances and shot blocking are good enough to keep the opponent players at bay and help his team keep a clean sheet.
Batth featured in 41 games in the last term for the Wolves and has been the pinnacle of their good show in the backline. He also scored four goals in the last season to keep his team in the advantage over their rivals in the Championship.
However, the new manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, who took on the charges at the Molineux Stadium this summer, has been averse to playing the 26-year-old centre back in his first team and kept his on the bench for most of the time during the pre-season friendly matches. He has also brought in two defenders in the form of Willy Boly from his former club Porto and Roderick Miranda who was signed from Rio Ave, which might be an indication for the English international to look for a new team in the next term, who will give him the chance to play in their starting line-up on a regular basis.
A number of clubs are currently taking notice of the situation surrounding Batth. However, the Tigers are currently looking to be in the pole position to make a bid for the player to bring him into the side in the next term. The vastly experienced player can be a great addition to side and fill in for the departed centre back Harry Maguire in the summer.
