Huddersfield Town is doing good business in the summer transfer market and have already bagged nine players to strengthen their team for the next season. The Terriers are far from done with their spending spree and are eyeing their tenth signing for the season in the form of French defender Dimitri Cavare.
The right back, who is currently playing for the French side Rennes, has attracted a number of eyes including that of the Huddersfield Town coach David Wagner. The player has been on trial for the Terriers in the recently held friendly between the newly promoted Premier League side and Championship side Barnsley, in which he has been able to impress Wagner and the other team members with his diligent playing style in the backline.
The 22-year-old player has been one of the young players who have attracted interests from a number of clubs from all around Europe. The full back is known for his darting runs on the right-hand side into the opposition defence and making assists to feed his teammates with pinpoint passing and lethal crosses into the opposition box so as to provide them opportunities to score goals and keep his team in advantage.
The French defender failed to make more than 5 appearances for club Rennes in the last two seasons after he came into the Ligue 1 club from fellow French outfit RC Lens in 2015. It was due to a fatal injury that almost threatened his career and benched him for a major chunk in the last two seasons. However, this summer, a move to the Premier League might be career changing for the player, who is willing to play for Huddersfield in the next term.
The Terriers are looking forward to making a bid for the player as they are in dire need of a right back who can give them stability in the defensive area and also initiate attacks by passing the ball in the right place at the right times. They have already failed in their pursuit to land the Barnsley right back Andy Yiadom and are almost set to bag Cavare for the next season.
Huddersfield Town, who are playing their first Premier League season after a long gap of 45 years, are well aware of the fact that they will have to face some of the biggest clubs in the form of Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and defending Champions Chelsea and they are already looking to build a team that can take them head on.
