Crystal Palace has been looking forward to bring in some good players this summer, as they are not looking to repeat the mistakes of the last term and end the season higher up the league table. The Eagles are already showing their intention in the transfer market and are poised to make a bid for Arsenal midfielder, Jack Wilshere.
The Eagles, who have brought in Frank De Boer as their new manager for the next season, have not been able to make any signings so far this summer. However, they have got their eyes on a number of new players to be brought into the side for the next season and are looking forward to bring in some of them to stabilise their team, especially their midfield, which has been a problematic area for Palace in the last season.
The South London club tried their best to get the English international in their ranks in the last term as well but failed as the player was hijacked at the last moment by fellow Premiership club Bournemouth. The Cherries, however, also used the player, who has been forced to spend a chunk of his career on the bench due to injury concerns, in bits and pieces role throughout the last season and might be averse to make a bid for a permanent move in the summer for the next term.
His current club Arsenal had also been treating him the same way since the time he arrived at the club in 2008, resulting in him having only 160 appearances so far under his belt. The 25-year-old, however, has been prone to injuries quite a few times in the last few seasons, which has halted his career from growing to a great extent.
Reportedly, Arsenal are looking to offer the English midfielder a new contract, which will tie him down at the Emirates Stadium in the future. However, as per sources, Wilshere might not accept the offer as he will be looking to make a move to a club which will be allowing him to have regular outings on the pitch in the forthcoming seasons.
Crystal Palace is undoubtedly in need of players who might make it possible for them to power their performances in the next season and have been interested in bringing in someone like Wilshere on loan for the next term, with the Englishman having considerable amount of experience in the Premier League under his belt to make it a good season for them in terms of results.
