Brighton and Hove Albion are on their way to start their debut season in the Premier League and they are preparing a team which can take on the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham and defending champions Chelsea. The Seagulls have already got some new players in the team and are eyeing quite a few to be brought into the team for the next term to strengthen it to the core.
One such player is the Czech Republic defender Ales Mateju, who is currently playing for the club Viktoria Plzen in his home country. The full back has attracted the interest of the Brighton head coach Chris Hughton, as he is looking to bring in a new defender who can be good enough to stabilise their defence against the top class attackers currently playing the Premier League.
The 21-year-old has been one of the stars in the making in Czech football and has already represented his country on a regular basis at the Under-21 level. His skills as a right back have attracted the eyes of a number of experts including that of Chris Hughton and it is quite sure that the Seagulls are willing to make a bid for the player to be brought into their side for the next term.
The young full back is not only known for his defensive skills, but also for his darting runs down the right-hand side that help his teammates to get regular crosses and passes into the defensive area of the opposition to score goals and keep their team in advantage. He is also known for his shots on the opposition goal from long range outside the D-box that can cause problems to any defence.
Mateju has been playing for his current club since 2015 and has an impressive record under his belt so far. He has already made 50 appearances for his club in the first team and has two goals and two assists so far to show for his efforts. He has been one of the young players who are touted to become the stars of the future for their country.
Brighton are looking forward to bring in a number of players in the summer, Mateju being one of the names right on the top of the list for the English club. The Seagulls are quite sure that the 21-year-old can add solidity to their defence and can also help their attacking prospect with his runs and passes on the field.
