Arsenal have made a good start to the summer transfer window, having already clinched the likes of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette from the German outfit Schalke and French Ligue club Lyon in quick succession. However, the Gunners are not looking to stop at that and are eyeing more new players to be brought into the side for the next season.
Reportedly, the North London club might have to let go of their prized striker in the form of Alexis Sanchez, who is set to leave the club in the summer and might join Premier League rivals Manchester City as they are looking like the most probable destination. That has made the Gunners look for a new player who can fill the void of the Chilean marksman, and they are poised to bring in the German striker Thomas Muller from the current Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich.
The 27-year-old has been one of the most celebrated strikers in the European circuit over the past few years and has made a great impression for both his club and his country, having contributed in a number of wins for both of them. However, in the last few seasons, he has been far from his best form and has failed to make a mark with his skills in front of the goal.
The German marksman, who has scored 161 goals so far for his club Bayern Munich in his career, is set to be pushed down the pecking order with the arrival of the Colombian captain James Rodriguez in the team, the Real Madrid forward being brought on loan for the next two years to play in the attack for the Bavarians. This has supposedly made the veteran of 395 matches look forward to make a move out of the Allianz Arena in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal, who have already signed the French striker Lacazette, are looking to add to their firepower for the next term and make amends for the mistakes that made them stay out of the top four for the first time since 1998 in the Premier League table. The Gunners might also be missing their talismanic forward Alexis Sanchez in the next season and need someone able enough to fill in the void for the spectacular Chilean.
However, the Chairman of Executive Board of the German outfit, Karl Heinz Rummenigge has already said that Bayern Munich will not let go of their prized possession for the next season and will do everything to keep hold of him in the next term.
