Arsenal have been up and about in the transfer market this summer and have already made early signings in the form of French forward Alexandre Lacazette from Ligue 1 club Lyon and Bosnian left-back Sead Kolasinac from German Bundesliga side Schalke. The Gunners are, however, not looking to end their spending spree with these two top class players already in their squad, but are looking forward to bring in a few more players into the side for the next season.
The North London club have always been known for its dependence on youth, and it is not looking to go away from the path of bringing in young talents in the current summer transfer window as well. The Gunners’ coach Arsene Wenger, who has been tied down by the club with a new two-year long deal, has been eyeing quite a few young players from all over Europe and is looking to get his hands on one of the brightest talents in the form of Aymen Barkok from the German Bundesliga.
The 19-year-old, who has been playing for the German outfit Frankfurt Eintracht, has been one of the best young midfielders in European football right now. He has been playing for his country on regular basis at the youth level and is currently representing Germany in the under-19 Championships.
Reportedly, the Gunners have been monitoring his progress for quite some time now, and finally, they have decided to submit an offer of £8.8 million to his club Frankfurt to bag their talented youngster for the next season.
The 19-year-old midfielder has been nothing less than a livewire on the field for his club as well as country and has been attracting interest from a number of clubs in the very first year of his senior side appearance with Eintracht Frankfurt. He made 19 outings for his club in the last season and has been involved in two assists for his teammates while scoring two goals himself.
Arsenal have been looking to turn the tables in the new season, as the last one has been nothing short of disappointing for them and their fans, who have been demanding some fresh faces to be brought into the team for the next season that will be contributing to making it a successful one for the Gunners.
