Current Premier League champions Chelsea have been looking to get Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko in their line-up for the next season, after the latter displayed great composure and physical presence in the centre of the midfield for the French Ligue 1 champions in the last season, during their domestic as well European campaigns to establish himself as one of the best enforcers in the current scenario.
Reportedly, Chelsea are going in with a bid of £35 million to bag the French midfielder from Monaco. Antonio Conte, the present man in charge at Stamford Bridge, has the vision to pair him up with compatriot N’Golo Kante in the centre of his midfield to make his 3-4-3 formation look even more invincible than it was in the last season.
Chelsea are reportedly also closing in on the Juventus left back Alex Sandro for what is being presumed as one of the costliest moves for a defender since they spent £34m to get David Luiz back in their squad from Paris St Germain the last term.
It is going to be a whopping £61 million move that will get the Brazilian full-back into the squad for the Blues, as they might let go of Cesar Azpilicueta, who is wanted by Spanish giants Barcelona.
Speculations are rife that there is also a possibility for a swap deal in order to get Sandro in their squad, which will see Chelsea let go off Azpilicueta to join Juventus as a part of the deal. However, there is also a good chance that Sandro, with his attack-minded football, can play in the place of Chelsea’s left wing back Marcos Alonso, who performed brilliantly in the last season in the aforementioned role in Conte’s 3-4-3 formation, who might be eclipsed by the arrival of the Brazilian at Stamford Bridge in the next term.
With players like Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alex Sandro in their line-up, Chelsea definitely can look to make it big in the next season as well and hope to successfully defend their title. They will also be facing the extra burden of playing in the Champions League and might opt for a line-up that will probably look something like this-
Expected lineup (3-4-3)
Though it is not confirmed whether Lukaku will be coming in the next season to Chelsea or not, the deal seems almost done with Diego Costa out of the picture for the next term. Do you think the Blues can retain the title with this lineup?
