West Ham United did not have the best of seasons in their last campaign in the English Premier League and finished their season at the 11th position on the League table. This time, the Hammers are determined to turn things around and build a strong team for the next season, which can be able to give their season a kick-start.
The London club have kept their faith intact in their Croatian manager Slaven Bilic, who knows that it can be his last season with the Hammers if he if not able to deliver positive results for his side to appease their fans. He is already looking to revamp the team with fresh faces and one particular player on the top of his wish list going into the summer transfer window is Adama Traore.
The Spanish starlet has been one of the players to watch out for in the Middlesbrough side last season and showed his best efforts to pull his team out of trouble, but it was not enough to save their season last term. However, his pace and prowess has been able to bring him a lot of praise from all corners of the football fraternity and has also attracted interests from a number of big name clubs from the Premier League as well as Europe.
Traore played for 11 long years in the Barcelona youth ranks before making it to the senior squad where he made just one appearance, before moving to Aston Villa in 2015. He made 12 appearances for his new club, in which he scored just one goal, and failed to make much of an impact. The youngster left Villa Park and joined Middlesbrough in the very next season.
He made 27 appearances in the top flight for Boro, failing to put his name on the scoresheet for a single time throughout the season. However, he made amends with his speed and played an important role in stabilising the midfield for the now-relegated club.
West Ham United are in search for a player who can give their attack much-needed pace to get into the opposition half more times in the new season and are looking forward towards roping in Traore to get them that impetus.
Reportedly, the Hammers have been holding discussion over a move that is worth £8 million with Traore’s current club Middlesbrough, as he might be brought in to replace the English midfielder Robert Snodgrass, who came in from Hull City last January and has completely failed to impress in the last season.
