West Ham United have been looking to make a strong start in the new season and for that, are in dire need of players who will help them get positive results under their belt. One such player, who has been right on the top of the hit list of their current manager Slaven Bilic is the Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, who has been playing on loan in the last season for Bournemouth.
Slaven Bilic, the Croatian in charge of the Hammers is well aware of the fact that though the club management has kept their faith on him to guide the team to new heights in the forthcoming season, they will not think twice before removing him from the post of their head coach if the results don’t come out to be satisfactory enough. As a result, Bilic is looking to strengthen his side by bringing in players and also has significant financial support on his side to make things happen this time around.
Wilshere was sent on loan by Arsenal after he came back into the squad from a prolonged injury layoff. It was the South Coast club Bournemouth where he went on loan and played significantly well for the side, enabling the club to finish the season on 16th, helping them to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The manager in charge at Dean Court, Eddie Howe, has also been a great admirer of the prowess that the England international showed for his side in the last season and has been looking to bag him for the next season as well on a permanent deal from his current club Arsenal. However, though Wilshere spent a rather injury free and a good season with the Cherries, he now is looking to play with a bigger side, so it is quite unlikely that the 25-year-old will be looking to head back to the South Coast club.
The Gunners, on the other hand, are ready to offer him a new contract, with his current contract expiring in June 2018 and has been looking to tie him down at the Emirates Stadium as well. However, it will quite difficult for them to guarantee him starting place in the next term as well.
West Ham United might be a team who can provide Wilshere starts, which he is in dire need of, keeping in mind the upcoming World Cup in 2018. Reportedly, the Hammers are also prepared to launch a bid of £30 million to land their man in the summer.
