Real Madrid will have their task cut out when they will take the guard against Juventus in the Champions League final on 4th May in Cardiff. Real have been through all the difficulties in this season and they have to do this one more time in this season to be the ultimate champions.
Madrid sorted out the La Liga title in the final week as they got the better of Malaga. Now they have some unfinished business and lifting the title in Cardiff would be the perfect complement to their almost perfect season. Los Blanco have shown that if situations demand they can be very ruthless and against a side who arguably have the most comprehensive defence in the world, they have to be at their peak of form to grind out a result in their favour.
Predicted 4-3-3 Real Madrid Lineup Against Juventus
Defence
It’s a do or die situation for the Costa Rican shot stopper. Despite a number of errors, Zidane kept his trust on the keeper and Navas has repaid the faith with some outstanding keeping in the Madrid goal. With Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala in the opposition ranks, especially Higuain who would be very keen to make it a sweet revenge, Navas has to be very cautious.
Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane will be facing a very critical task when it comes to handling the pressure of Juventus. The Bianconeri’s are very threatening on the counter-attack and the defensive duo has to put things together.
In Marcelo, Madrid probably have one of the best left-backs currently in the world. The Brazilian fullback becomes the main threat with his marauding offensive runs through the flanks but is equally experienced in dealing with his defensive attributes.
Dani Carvajal will be on the right side of the defence.
Midfield
The main battle will be played in the midfield. Casemiro will be tasked to shield the backline with an extra layer of security and to bridge the gap between the defence and the midfield.
Luka Modric will pair up with Toni Kroos to keep the engine running in the middle of the park. Amongst the two of them, Kroos has the mobility while Modric defence-splitting through ball will be tough to intercept.
Attack
Cristiano Ronaldo has proved his dominance in this type of high profile matches and once again the onus will be on him to lead the team from the front.
Isco will start from the right side but the playmaker will have the license to roam around as the Spaniard’s movement could prove to be the x-factor.
Karim Benzema will try to combine with these two players up front.
