Stoke City have ended their dismal season at a lowly thirteenth position and are supposed to face a stern challenge to stay back in top flight football in the next season as well. They are currently looking to revamp their side for the next season with the help of new signings from Premier League as well as Championship clubs.
A number of players have been scouted by the Potters this summer, who might be brought into the club to strengthen the squad for the next season. One such player is the young defender from Hull City, Josh Tymon, who is currently playing for the recently relegated Hull City, entitled to play in the championship in the next term.
The youngster has been playing for the Tigers under his scholarship contract and is yet to sign a contract with Hull City. However, having been reportedly frustrated with the delay from his club to offer him a contract with a good salary structure, the promising left-back is looking forward to moving out of the KCOM Stadium in the next season and might be picked up by the Potters, who can offer him a place in their first team.
The player has been awarded the Young Player of The Year accolade at the end of the recently concluded season. However, there has been no permanent contract offered from the Tigers’ side to keep hold of their prized youngster for the next season, which has prompted him to find a new club, with the Potters ready to offer him a permanent contract, which might let him be a part of the first team.
Reportedly, if the deal happens, the Tigers will be entitled to receive nothing more than £2 million for the transfer, owing to the fact that the deal is supposed to be resolved by the tribunal, and based on a number of other factors ranging from the amount of time played for the club and the number of first team appearances by the player.
Tymon has made only four first-team appearances for his side in the recently concluded Premier League season but has been one of the stars for his side in his limited amount of appearances that he made for Hull City, attracting interests from a number of clubs who want to bag him for the season to come.
The departure of Tymon is supposed to make the Hull City defence really weak, with seasoned players like Harry Maguire also mooted for a move to the Premier League sides.
