Manchester United have made their way back into the Champions League for the next season after winning the Europa League for the first time in their history. The Red Devils are looking to gear up for the next season by bringing in a number of new players to make the side strong enough to take on some of the biggest clubs from all over Europe.
The Red Devils are looking very keen to bring in the Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic from Internazionale in order to stabilise their midfield in the next term. The winger has been linked with Manchester United for quite some time now and it seems that the transfer might finally take place now.
Reportedly, the Premier League club have already agreed to personal terms with the influential midfielder and are looking pretty confident to land him this summer at Old Trafford. However, the only problem that has halted the all important move from realising is the transfer fee.
While Manchester United have made a bid of £35 million to bag the winger, his current club Internazionale have made it clear that they will not let their prized possession leave the team at nothing less than £44 million.
The Croatian playmaker has played 55 matches in the last season and has scored 16 goals for his club, showing his class and prowess to make a good impression in the transfer market. The player has been in ominous form and has attracted interests from a number of clubs apart from the Red Devils.
Perisic has not only scored goals but has also helped his teammates to score goals by helping them with important assists, amounting to 10 in total. Reportedly, he still has some years of service left on his contract with the Italian club but is interested in making a move out of San Siro in the summer.
As per reports, a weekly wage of £100,000 has been offered to lure the Croatian to Old Trafford in the next season, which will double his wage from what he is getting at his current club Internazionale. The Italian club have been looking to keep hold of the winger for the next season as well, but Perisic looks quite determined to make it out of the San Siro this summer.
Manchester United’s current coach Jose Mourinho has been far from satisfied with the way his team has performed this season and is looking to offload quite a few players in the next season. He is also looking to bring in a number of new faces this summer and Perisic is one of them.
