Manchester City have been under increasing pressure to perform well in the next season, having finished the last one in an unsatisfactory manner given their high standards. The Citizens have failed to secure any silverware in the last term and are eyeing to bring in players who will help them turn the table this time around.
Manchester City have already made their presence felt in the transfer market this summer and have bagged two of the finest talents in European football in the current situation in the form of Portuguese midfield sensation Bernardo Silva from French Ligue 1 champions Monaco and the Brazilian shot-stopper Ederson from Portuguese Primeira Liga champions of the recently concluded season, Benfica. Popular by the name of “Ox” among the fans of the North London club, owing to his robust physique and strong presence on the pitch, the English international has been playing for his current club since 2011 and has his contract running until the end of the next season. He started off his career with the Gunners as a right winger but has been shifted to the right wing back position to enable him to play a very important part in stabilising the defence with the team playing with a 3-4-3 in the recently concluded season.
With his ability to play in the central midfield on a regular basis, the English midfield can be a good addition to Manchester City.
