Jurgen Klopp has been a busy man after the end of the season as he is already looking to improve on the squad that finished fourth in the Premier League campaign last season. The German tactician wants some of the best players in Europe playing for the club next season and is close to landing a couple of them. However, this will mean that he will have to let go of a few players this summer to make way for the incoming transfers.
However, he will like to keep a close eye on some of the youngsters in the squad who can come good in years to come and may only send a few out on loan for the next season. Here are three such players Liverpool should look to loan out this summer:
Sheyi Ojo:
After a successful showing in the U20 World Cup recently, Ojo is now ready for first team action but it is hard to see him get that at Liverpool. He is one of the most exciting players currently coming out of the academy at Anfield and deserves some regular game time in the top flight. He is still 19 and has loads of time to learn and is one player Klopp will be desperate to find a suitor for this summer. Surely, he will have a place in the first team at Anfield in years to come.
Joe Gomez:
Another youngster Liverpool will be proud of is Joseph Gomez. At 20, he is one of the most exciting defenders in the domestic circuit in England but a couple of unlucky injuries have seen him lose 18 months of his career. He showed decent promise in the couple of cup games he has played under Klopp but is not expected to feature heavily next season. He is already wanted by Rafa Benitez at Newcastle and Klopp should send him out on loan to allow him to gather some exposure and recover some lost time.
Marko Grujic:
The Serbian youngster will want to stay at the club and learn under Jurgen Klopp but he is not getting nearly enough exposure to make himself accustomed to English football and he should get a taste of first team football elsewhere next season. He is still learning as a footballer and it is important for Klopp to make sure that he has all that he needs to realise his potential. It is hard to see the manager use Grujic in the first team either in the league or the UCL and it is best for him to find a team where he can get a chance to play.
