Everton are already showing their intent to field a pretty formidable side this season, as they have already signed two players as part of their squad for the next term in the form of Ajax skipper Davy Klaassen, who is an attacking midfielder and Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, who has been brilliant for the Black Cats throughout the last season between the sticks.
The Toffees are determined to spend big this season and are reportedly looking to bring in another top class player to their side in the form of AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang. The French striker has been playing for the Premier League club Watford on loan in the last season and has been in fairly good form of late.
M’baye Niang has been one of the players who has made it possible for the Hornets to save their season in the last term and end the season right on the brink of relegation, in the 17th position. The French youngster has been considered to be one of the future stars for his pace and prowess and has shown glimpses of it during his stay at Vicarage Road. He played 16 games for Watford and scored two goals for them, assisting his teammates twice in the process as well.
The young striker joined the Rossoneri from French Ligue 1 side Caen in 2012 and has been left on loan for consecutive seasons since 2014 by the Italian club. He had loan stints with clubs like Montpellier, Genoa and Watford and has shown his quality wherever he has gone. Now it might be his chance to make a permanent move to a Premier League club, as Everton looks en route to bag Niang for the next season.
Reportedly, the French youngster was in England to attend a medical at Finch Farm, following a positive conversation about his transfer to the Premier League club this summer, which took place between the representatives of the Italian club and Everton’s director of football Steve Walsh.
Everton are in contention over the future of their star striker Romelu Lukaku, who might be heading back to his former club Chelsea in the summer transfer window, following a great season with the Toffees that saw him finish with 25 goals to his name. M’baye Niang is supposedly being eyed by the current man in charge at Goodison Park Ronald Koeman as a potential replacement for the Belgian superstar for the next season, as per the speculations.
