Scottish club Celtic have ended their last season on a high, lifting the Scottish Premiership trophy for the 48th time in their history. They are entitled to play in the Champions League for the next season and are currently looking for players who can make it possible for them to make a mark in Europe as a dominant side.
A number of players have been eyed by the current coach of Celtic, Brendan Rodgers, who wants to build on the success of the recently concluded season. One such player is the Manchester United outcast Adnan Januzaj, who was playing for Sunderland in the last season and is looking for a club in the top flight to give that much-needed push to his career, following the relegation of the Black Cats from the Premier League.
After making a good start to his career with Manchester United in the 2013/14 season and having an impactful campaign, to say the least, 22-year-old old has been left on loan for the last two years consecutively, first to Borussia Dortmund and then to the current Championship side Sunderland. The Belgian was not able to make a mark in both the seasons for his aforementioned clubs and has now returned to Old Trafford.
With it being very much unlikely for the midfielder to make it into the Manchester United starting line-up for the next season under the tutelage of Jose Mourinho, Januzaj is on the look for a new club to offer his services.
With interests from a number of clubs from all over Europe, it seems like the recent form of the Belgian starlet might not be a very big detriment to getting him a new club in top flight football in the next season.
Januzaj has a contract with the Red Devils which sees him stay with them till 2018, but there is a strong possibility that he might be offloaded in the next transfer window. Apart from the Scottish Premiership champions Celtic, Real Sociedad, the Spanish La Liga side have also been interested in making a bid for the player in the next summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old prefers to play as a right winger but also has the capability to play as a striker. Reportedly, Championship sides Leeds United and Aston Villa are also have interests in bagging the Belgian youngster for the next season to revamp their squads but at the moment, he could be the right man for Celtic.
