Arsenal have ended their current campaign on a high, having won the FA Cup against the current Premier League title holders Chelsea. This being their 13th FA Cup win, which is a record in the tournament’s history, the Gunners are looking to build on this success and make it a better season in the next term.
Arsenal have also been able to secure the signature of their legendary manager Arsene Wenger for two more years at the Emirates Stadium, which is considered to be a huge boost for the Gunners in the next season. Having committed his long-term future to the club, the French mastermind has also started investing himself in pursuing some of the top class players, who have been performing exceptionally well for their clubs in the last few seasons.
One such player, whom the Gunners might look to sign for the next season, is Helder Costa. The attacking midfielder is currently playing for the Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers, and his pace and prowess has been something to watch out for in the recently concluded season. A number of clubs, including the current Premier League champions Chelsea, have been impressed by the abilities of the brilliant midfielder and are looking to bring him in for the next season, as per the reports.
Wolverhampton, however, is looking to keep hold of their prized possession for the next season as well, knowing that their effort might prove to be pretty futile, as the Portuguese international’s agent Jorge Mendes is looking to get his client in one of the top clubs in the Premier League next season.
The 23-year-old attacker has scored 12 goals in 40 appearances for his side in the Championship this season, along with eight crucial assists for his teammates to score goals. He has literally been nothing less than a silver lining in a rather gloomy season for the Wolves.
The Portuguese midfielder is known for his darting runs into the heart of the opposition defence and also has the ability to score from both set piece situations and open play.
Apart from threading key passes for his teammates, providing them with the opportunity to score goals, the attacker is also known for his goal scoring ability, both from long range shots and close range finishes. He is also gifted with the mesmerising ability to dribble the ball and control it. His ability to get the ball in the right areas at the right time is also an additional quality that any club he joins can ponder upon.
He will add dynamism to this Arsenal attack but is he the man to take them in the right direction?
