Arsenal are looking to make amends for a season which has been far from satisfactory for them. This is the first time the Gunners will not be taking part in the Champions League in two decades, instead, they will be playing in the Europa League next term.
The Gunners, despite being bolstered by their legendary manager Arsene Wenger signing a two-year long contract extension with the North London club, might have to let go off their prized player Alexis Sanchez during summer. The talismanic striker has been linked with a number of clubs in the Premier League as well as from all over Europe and might not be staying for long with the Gunners. The Chilean marksman reportedly has also denied to pen down a new contract and has been looking to make a move, his destination preferably being either Bayern Munich or Chelsea.
This has given rise to what can be termed as a serious problem in front of the Arsenal manager, Wenger and he is looking to bring in a player who can be able to replace the Chilean marksman in the next season, in case he leaves the Emirates Stadium. The North London club have been linked with a number of players, the Columbian star Carlos Bacca has come up as an ideal replacement for the Chilean striker at Arsenal.
The Columbian ace has been playing for the Italian giants AC Milan, where he joined in 2015 from the Spanish club Sevilla. However, he was not able to carry forward his form that he had shown during his days at the Spanish club and ended up scoring only thirteen goals in 29 matches for the Serie A club this season.
However, that has not let the demand for the mercurial Columbian marksman go down, as he has been drawing interests from a number of Europe’s top clubs including Arsenal. Given his current form, AC Milan will be happy to let go of their striker in the summer, with Arsenal looking to rope him in for the new season.
Bacca is known for his precise finishing in front of the goal, along with his ability to lay off assists for his teammates, providing them with opportunities to score goals. He is known for his runs down the middle and the right wing as well, which makes him a real threat to the opposition. He is good at scoring from set piece situations as well as from open play, which is a great help for any team he plays.
