Arsenal are already looking set to make their next season a memorable one by bringing in players who can be able to make the fans proud by clinching some silverware to show for their efforts and make a significant mark in domestic as well as European competitions. They have shown their intent by signing the brilliant left wing back from Schalke, Sead Kolasinac, on a free transfer to strengthen their backline and are now turning their vision towards notching up players to stabilise their midfield for the next term.
Reportedly, they have got their eyes fixed on the young midfielder Corentin Tolisso from Lyon to make him a part of their line-up for the new season. The 22-year-old has been a player to watch out for in the French Ligue 1 this season for his club Lyon and has attracted interests from a number of big name clubs from all over Europe.
Tolisso has been in the spotlight owing to his 14 goals this season which has earned him a lot of praise from all corners of the football fraternity including the current man in charge at the Emirates Stadium, Arsene Wenger. He has also helped his teammates to score goals by providing them with six assists in the recently concluded season.
The French youngster has been, as per sources, valued at £30 million by his current club Lyon. He has not concealed his intention to play for some of the biggest clubs in Europe, which consists of names like Real Madrid, Barcelona as well as Arsenal and might be entitled to a move out of France in the next season to bolster his chances of earning a place in the French National squad for the upcoming World Cup in 2018 in Russia.
Reports suggest that the Italian champions Juventus are equally as close as their close rivals Napoli to bag the sensational young Frenchman in the summer, giving a tough fight to the North London club in their pursuit for landing Tolisso at the Emirates Stadium in the next season. However, the hefty price tag on the Lyon ace might be a turnoff for the Gunners to keep their chase up for him.
With both Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka not been able to make a consistent mark in the midfield for the Gunners in the recently concluded season, it is becoming a worry for Arsene Wenger to make his midfield function in a smooth way. He is confident that Tolisso might be the answer to the problems faced by his club at the moment.
