Arsenal ended their current campaign in domestic competition on a high by winning the FA Cup for the 13th time in the history of the club. They have also been able to sign their legendary manager Arsene Wenger for a new two-year deal, which is definitely a boost for the North London to kick start their new season.
The French mastermind is looking to revamp the squad for the next season and has already got his work cut out in order to get things in place to avoid any loopholes which can turn out to be detrimental in the team’s progress next term. He has already signed a good player in the form of the Bosnia and Herzegovina left back Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer from German Bundesliga side Schalke and is looking to bring in players who can provide stability to the side in the next season.
With the possibility of their talismanic forward Alexis Sanchez leaving the club in the summer, the Gunners are in dire need of a player who can come in as a cover for the brilliant Chilean. Among a number of options considered as a replacement for Sanchez, the name which is on the top of the priority list for the North London club is that of the Czech Republic striker Patrik Schick, who currently plays for Sampdoria in the Italian Serie A.
The 21-year-old forward has been one of the players who has been in superb form for his club in the current season and has notched up 13 goals to show for his efforts in the Italian Serie A. He has been the pinnacle of attack for Sampdoria since his arrival at the club and has been rated as one of the strikers who can turn out to be a match winner for his side in the Serie A.
The Italian Serie A side brought in the Czech Marksman from the Belgian side Sparta Praha for £3.5 million and has made full use of his talents so far. Reportedly, Sampdoria are not looking to let go off their prized possession in the next season but might have to cave in under pressure from a big name club like Arsenal.
Schick has a release clause of £21 million on him in case he leaves the club. Reportedly, the arch rivals of Arsenal, another North London club Tottenham are also in the race to bag the striker for the next season. However, the Spurs might not be interested in slashing out more than £17 million to secure the striker.
