Arsenal has been rather inconsistent in their performance throughout the current season and are looking to rectify their mistakes in the next season. Current club manager Arsene Wenger has been looking to bring in a number of changes for the new season, and Lucas Moura is one of them.
The Brazilian is one of the best midfielders to play in Europe currently. He has been in good form throughout the season and has been instrumental for his current club Paris Saint-German. He has scored 16 goals in 54 appearances for the French champions so far this season.
Paris Saint German has been dependent on the 24-year-old attacking midfielder for a long time and it will be hard for the French side to do without the Brazilian. Moura has given stability to the Paris Saint German midfield and has played a key role in the advent of the French Ligue 1 side in domestic as well as European competitions.
Lucas Moura came to Paris Saint-German in 2012 from Sao Paulo. Since then, he has been playing aside greats like David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic and has developed his game to become one of the mainstays for the French club. His passing accuracy along with mesmerising dribbling skills are an absolute treat to watch. Equipped with the ability to take long range shots both from set piece situations and open play, the Brazilian playmaker can loom large as a huge threat to any opposition. His crisp finishes from close range also make him a force to reckon with.
Reportedly, Arsenal had made an approach for the transfer of the midfielder during the last transfer window but was not successful as Moura decided to stay back in Paris. This time around, the Premier League club might face tough competition from Spanish club Atletico Madrid, who are also looking to bag the Brazilian from Paris Saint-German.
As per sources, the German midfield maestro Mesut Ozil, who has been an influence in the midfield for the Premier League club, might leave the Emirates stadium this season. The Brazilian midfielder, if the deal goes through, might come in as a replacement for the ex-Galactico in the Arsenal midfield.
Reports are also pointing towards the fact that despite being a crucial part of the Paris Saint German line-up for such a long time, Lucas Moura is considering a move away from the Parc des Princes in the coming season. However, whether he will go to Arsenal or will make a move to Madrid is still under the cloud of doubt.
