Dani Alves has been in superb form, to say the least in the current season with his present club Juventus. The veteran Brazilian has been playing a key role in the advent of the Italian Champions into the UEFA Champions League Final this season and the Italian Serie A as well. The Bianconeri have already won the Coppa Italia this season beating Lazio by 2-0, Alves having been on the scoring sheet this time for the champions.
Dani Alves came into the Italian club last summer, having been left by the Spanish Giants Barcelona on a free transfer. Ironically, he starred in the Bianconeri’s Champions League win against his former club in the quarter-final, in which the Blaugrana players failed to get anything past the Juventus goal with Alves guarding the backline efficiently.
The Brazilian is undoubtedly one of the most highly rated players in Europe playing as a full back. His pace and prowess have attracted a lot of interest from some of the biggest clubs from all over Europe including the Premier League. Reportedly, Tottenham Hotspur is leading the chase to bag the Brazilian ace in the next season to replace Kyle Walker at the right back position.
The England international has been looking to make a move out of The Spurs side in the next season, his probable destination being Manchester City. He has been out of favour under The Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, who has been playing Kevin Trippier most of the times throughout the season in place of the England right back. This has been a speculated indication that Walker might leave Tottenham during the summer transfer window to join City.
Pochettino is reportedly ready for a swoop for the Brazilian right back to bring him into the squad. The Argentine has marshalled his team in the next to perfect way throughout the season, making them the Premier League Runner-up’s, finishing right behind the eventual champions Chelsea.
It goes without saying that the already strong looking squad of Tottenham will become almost invincible in the next season if Dani Alves joins them in their backline. The Brazilian ace’s flare and powerful presence in their defence might boost their chances to finish in the top position next term, making the Spurs fans’ dream of winning the Premier League come true.
However, the Premier League side is set to face heavy resistance from the Bianconeri, who look to be in no mood to let go of their Brazilian ace in the next season. Now it is to see whether The Spurs can crack the deal or not.
