Manchester United has been through one of their unsatisfactory seasons in the recent past this term, failing to make it through to the top four of the Premier League. However, they will still be competing in the Champions League having won the Europa League this season, beating Dutch side Ajax in the final.
While that has brought some hope for the Manchester United fans for the next season, the squad is facing a huge crisis with a number of their key players picking up injuries, that might keep them on the bench for a good part of the next season as well. Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is well aware of this fact and hence is looking to bring in reinforcements to fill up the void left behind by the long list of injuries.
Reportedly, the Red Devils have been eyeing a number of top class players to be brought into the team this summer, one of them being the Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale. The Welshman has been out of favour recently under his team’s present coach Zinedine Zidane and is trying to make a return into the starting XI on a regular basis.
But he was pushed down the pecking order by the brilliant Spaniard Isco, who was handed an opportunity in the team, to play beaside the Los Blancos talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo, replacing the injured Welshman halfway through the season.
The youngster grabbed the chance with both hands and starred for the Galacticos to make a strong statement regarding his presence in the team. The Spanish attacking midfielder scored 13 goals in total throughout the season for his side, including a very crucial one in the semi-final of the Champions League against arch rivals Atletico Madrid to register an all important win and lift his team to face Italian champions Juventus in the final.
This has reportedly made Gareth Bale worry about his future at Santiago Bernabeu and is looking to make a move away from the Spanish capital preferably back to the English Premier League in the summer.
Manchester United are well aware of the situation and are reportedly monitoring him with a very keen eye. Sources suggest that the decision for the Welsh ace is to a great extent dependent on the whether he will be handed a slot in the starting XI in the Champions League final by Zidane. With Isco in the form of his life, it is looking quite unlikely for Bale to get a start in the final, which might pave a move to Manchester United.
