Rangers would be looking to finish the season on a good note as they will be looking forward to hosting Hearts at the Ibrox. Regardless of the results, Rangers are certain to finish in the third position no matter what might be the results in the upcoming matches. Confidence seemed to be back after their win over Partick Thistle and they would need another win to set the ball rolling. Caixinha’s strategy implementation has been praised and we can count on him.
Predicted 4-2-3-1 Rangers Lineup against Hearts
Defence
Wes Foderingham has played a key role and should start in the Rangers goal. A 12th clean sheet will be his priority when he takes up the field.
Pedro Caixinha will have the luxury to tweak his back line but he is not expected to make any change. David Bates and Danny Wilson are very much in contention for a start and are capable of thwarting the Hearts attackers. Bates, particulary, has been the better performer among the two and Caixinha has a stiff belief in him.
Myles Beerman appears to have played a vital role in the left back position. The 18-year old didn’t have much chance earlier but has utilised each and every opportunity he has got so far.
James Tavernier will try to make a positive approach in this match.
Midfield
Jason Holt has devoted his entire season to the Hoops midfield. Rangers have a tough job to do and Holt needs to take control of the midfield battle.
Caixinha has introduced a number of youngsters to the first team and Josh Windass is one of them. Windass has repaid the faith with some out of the box performances and he is expected to be in the next match.
Attack
The Hoops were convincingly beaten by Celtic a match before the last match. Kenny Miller still has the energy to thrive in this competitive league at the age of 37 and the captain will try to count his presence in this crunch fixture.
Joe Dodoo is another youngster who has been handed a chance by Caixinha. The 21-year old will try to attack from the left flank.
Martyn Waghorn knows the pros and cons of these kinds of games and he will be pretty rejuvenated to give his all in this match.
Joe Garner will be in the centre forward position and will have a point to prove.
