Manchester City evidently did not have the seasons they had expected for after bringing in Pep Guardiola as their manager during the last summer transfer window. City are currently standing at the fourth position in the Premier League table, closely contested by arch rivals Manchester United for a coveted place in the UEFA Champions League competition next season.
Pep Guardiola is looking to bring in quite a few players in the next transfer window to strengthen his side’s chances in the Premier League as well as European competitions. However, he will also look to pick some players from the current squad at his disposal who can spell doom to any side on any given day. Three such match winners whom the Spaniard can use more effectively to ensure a good run in the next season are as followed-
Sergio Aguero–
Speculations are rife that the Argentine striker has been looking for a move away from the Etihad Stadium in the next season. However, if Guardiola succeeds in keeping hold of his most lethal weapon in the next season as well, and if Aguero can bring in more variety in his style of playing, it can turn out to be a really good season for Manchester City. The Argentine marksman has scored 18 goals in the League this season and has also laid off one assist for his teammates.
Leroy Sane–
The German playmaker was brought in by Pep Guardiola to strengthen the Manchester City midfield during the last transfer window and Leroy Sane has lived up to his expectations by delivering good performances whenever he has taken to the field. However, the Spaniard needs to make use of him more often and give a fair amount of chances to be on the field. If it happens, the German youngster can definitely become one of the players to watch out for in the Premier League in the coming season.
Gabriel Jesus-
The Brazilian youngster is one of the best players to have played the game in the recent years. Since his arrival during the January transfer window this season, the Brazilian has been showing off his skills consistently and is expected to lead the attack for Manchester City in many more years to come. The 20-year old is the only Manchester City Player to have an assist and a goal in his very first Premier League start for the club. Guardiola believes that the Brazilian dazzler will surely have to undertake a very crucial role if the Citizens need to be on song in the next season.
