Jose Mourinho is set for yet another summer of lavish spending at Old Trafford. He has been linked to some of the best players in Europe for a move at the end of the season and the latest name that is doing the rounds is Real Madrid star, Gareth Bale.
According to reports from several news outfits today, Gareth Bale has opened talks with the Red Devils over a possible move this summer, as he is currently unhappy with the playing time at the Bernabeu. Zinedine Zidane, the current Real Madrid manager has a strong squad at his disposal and has looked to rotate the players, which has seen a number of stars stay unhappy with their position at the club.
The likes of Alvaro Morata, James Rodriguez and Isco are constantly linked with an exit and with Zidane planning a few surprise additions, it might be time for Gareth Bale to look elsewhere. The Welshman has been in tremendous form in a season that has been hampered by injuries consistently.
Playing in his fourth year at the Bernabeu, Bale has 100 league appearance for the club already in his career. He has always been productive in front of goal and has scored nine goals and picked up five assists, even after missing a chunk of the season through injury.
Reports suggest that Manchester United are also interested in his signature and with the player unsettled at the moment, this deal might be one that can rule the papers in the summer transfer window.
A genuine winger, with exceptional pace to burn, Bale is a world class player who lifted the Welsh national team to the semi-finals of the EURO16 recently. He has won a number of trophies for Real Madrid in his time in the Spanish capital and Mourinho is convinced that he is the right option for his side next season.
Manchester United might not see the likes of Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a Red Devils shirt next season. Neither of the three are expected to be at the club beyond the transfer window, pushing Mourinho into the market for some quality additions.
The Manchester United manager has been busy looking at players who can lead the attack of the side and act as a target man but he will jump at the chance of a reunion with the 27-year old at Old Trafford.
Having already played in the Premier League at the highest level with the Spurs, Bale knows everything about English football and a front three of Gareth Bale, Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mkhitaryan is in itself an exciting prospect for United. Do you think he is the right man for the Red Devils next season?
