Manchester United have been boosted in their pursuit of Galatasaray winger Bruma. According to reports, the Turkish club has decided to offload him if he refuses to accept the latest offer. United need to strengthen their attacking section as lack of goals has been a grave concern for the Red Devils. Jose Mourinho is working on a number of transfers as he wants a complete overhaul of the team.
United take on Ajax in the Europa League final and will be hoping to book a berth in next season’s Champions League by lifting the title on 24th May. This has been a disappointing season for United as they had yet another finish outside the top four and if somehow they falter at this last moment, it will be an awful finish to the season for them.
Bruma has been in devastating form for the Turkish side netting 10 times and racking up eight assists to add to it. Jose Mourinho’s interest in the player is not unknown as he had his scouts present on a number of occasions to watch his progress. The player recently had a row with manager Igor Tudor reportedly and this might trigger his move.
Lack of pacey wingers has been a problem for United as Mourinho had to often deploy Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford on the flanks. Bruma could bring that acceleration and fluidity to the side which has been missing this season. His dribbling and sudden burst of pace will be a delight to watch and he can play on either wing which makes him a bit different from the other wingers. United failed to utilise their aerial ability as there were no constant provider of balls and Bruma can also help with this situation.
The Turkish club are very adamant to keep the player and have offered him a new contract wit a higher wage. Tottenham Hotspur also have been in the line and are also tracking the player’s movement. Mauricio Pochettino is tipped to make a number of signings and he seems to be very enthusiastic with his progress.
United had a not so good Premier League season and Mourinho is expected to sell a number of players. An offer in the region of £12.5m should be enough to entice the player to Old Trafford and looking at the current situation his signing is very imminent. He has just one year left on his contract which might fuel the speculation as well.
