Manchester United have been through one of their most dismal seasons in the recent history this term. The Red Devils have struggled through player injuries and other issues to finish at an underwhelming sixth position on the League table in the Premier League. Jose Mourinho, their current coach, who is regarded as one of the best managers in the world, has also not been able to weave his magic in his first season at Old Trafford.
However, the Red Devils are looking to not ponder upon the domestic failures of the recently concluded season and are looking to make the most of the new one. Jose Mourinho is eyeing a number of talented players to be brought into the side this summer, one of them being the 19-year-old Portuguese starlet Renato Sanches.
Sanches was brought into their side by German champions Bayern Munich at the start of the season, given his good performance in the Euro 2016 campaign, which was won by his country Portugal for the first time in their history. However, the talented youngster was not able to make a good start to his life at the Allianz Arena and soon went out of favour under the coaching of Carlo Ancelotti, the new manager of Bayern Munich.
The Portuguese youngster was left on the bench for most of the time during his first season with the Bavarians and will reportedly be sold during the next transfer window. As per sources, Bayern Munich have put a price tag on him which amounts to £30 million and are open to offers from potential suitors in the summer.
Manchester United and their Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho will be more than delighted to hear this news regarding the future of the Portuguese starlet, as they also had made a move to bring him in during the last summer transfer window. Mourinho has said that it was because of his late arrival at Old Trafford that the Bavarians had succeeded in making the swoop for Sanches go in their favour, otherwise he would have been playing for the Red Devils in this season only.
Reportedly, the Portuguese mastermind’s plan to acquire his compatriot midfielder has once again been bolstered by the announcement made by the German champions to let go of him.
Renato Sanches with his prowess and pace will undoubtedly be a great inclusion to the Manchester United side and might soon become a perfect midfield enforcer, with Mkhitaryan, Rooney and Mata all failing to make a mark to stabilise the midfield for the Red Devils.
