In a recent turn of events, Manchester City has signed one of the most highly regarded players in all over Europe in Bernardo Silva from Monaco for a staggering transfer fee which amounts to £43 million. Manchester City are more than delighted to secure the services of one of the most efficient midfielders in the current scenario and hope that he will be able to lead the club to a number of accolades in the following years with his indomitable prowess on the pitch.
Silva has been one of the main architects of a great season for his former club AS Monaco to make them the French Ligue 1 champions in the recently concluded season and will look to continue his good run in the following season as well with the Citizens. Pep Guardiola, the current City Manager will know that he has one of the best midfielders in his squad and will definitely look to initiate things with Silva in the middle for his club.
The probable lineup that Pep Guardiola might field with Bernardo Silva in it might look something like this-
Guardiola might be starting with a 3-4-2-1 formation in the next season, with preferably Sergio Aguero starting as the lone man up front. The Argentine striker has already offered his long time allegiance to his current club and is going to spearhead the City attack in the coming season.
The two men who might start behind Aguero as the attacking midfielder pair might be the Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne and the German attacker Leroy Sane. Both the players have a knack of scoring goals and get into the right position at the right time. The pair can also provide key passes for the man up front Aguero and let him add to the goals tally in the next season.
The four midfielders who might be playing behind De Bruyne and Sane should be Bernardo Silva on the right wing, with David Silva in a wide left midfield position, backed up by Ilke Gundogaon, who will be making a return to the side after a season long absence due to injury and Rahim Sterling. All the players, with the new inclusion Bernardo Silva, looks to be in very good shape and will be adding significant strength to the City line-up.
A three-man defensive system might be implemented by Guardiola in the new season, with inspirational captain Vincent Kompany, Aleksandar Kolarov and Nicholas Otamendi safeguarding the City goal. Claudio Bravo should be the starting goalkeeper, but Guardiola might look to sign someone new for the position in the summer.
