Tottenham Hotspur is having one of their best seasons in a long time, and are almost confirmed to finish in the 2nd position, ahead of their arch rivals Arsenal. The whole credit of such a significant season goes to their present coach, the Argentine mastermind Mauricio Pochettino.
At one point during the season, it was looking like Tottenham will be crowned the champions of the Premier League. However, due to some unfortunate results that went against them, The Spurs had to finish second, while an indomitable Chelsea side made the Premier League trophy theirs, for the current season.
Mauricio Pochettino took charge at White Hart Lane in 2014. Before that, he was the coach of Southampton where he spent just one season. Incidentally, it was his first season in English football, having spent the years prior to that coaching Spanish side Espanyol in the La Liga.
Since his arrival at the club, Pochettino has been trying his level best to bring the best out of his players on a regular basis. It was his benevolent guidance that shaped the future of one of the best forwards in the world, Gareth Bale, who started his career with The Spurs as a wing back.
Given his current performance as the head coach of the Premier League club, Pochettino has been flooded with offers from a number of big clubs from all over Europe. One of the most significant offers is speculated to have arrived from the Italian giants Inter Milan, who want the Argentine as their coach for the next season.
The Italian club have sacked their last coach Stefano Pioli following five defeats in their last six games and are looking to bring in Mauricio Pochettino to replace him as their club manager. Speculations are rife that the Argentine mastermind has been offered a wage of £8.5 million per month by the Italian giants. Sources suggest that they will also be paying his current club Tottenham Hotspur an amount of £4.2 million to buy him out of his current contract, which will see him through till 2021.
However, there have been no words that can boost the chances of Pochettino leaving Tottenham sometime soon. In fact, the Argentine coach has reportedly cleared the air, having declared that he is happy with his present club. As per sources, Inter Milan have also approached Chelsea’s Premier League winning coach Antonio Conte for the next season, but the Italian has denied making a move.
