Chelsea have become the champions of this season’s Premier League thanks to an indomitable performance from all its players. The Italian coach Antonio Conte is more than happy to have achieved this incredible feat in his very first season and will look to bring more glory to the club in the forthcoming season as well.
The Italian mastermind has been instrumental in bringing in players last summer who have proved to the pinnacle of this season’s brilliant performance by the West London club such as the N’Golo Kante. He is looking to continue the good work of bringing in many more talented players into the side next summer as well, and one of them is the Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Bakayoko has proved to be one of the stars for his club AS Monaco in the current French Ligue 1 campaign and has played a big role in making the club stand on the winners’ podium this season, toppling the defending champions Paris Saint-Germain. His partnership with players like Bernardo Silva has been one of the highlights of the season for AS Monaco in their midfield.
His pace and prowess have attracted a number of big-name clubs from all over Europe to bag Bakayoko for the next season. Premier League clubs, particularly Liverpool has also been monitoring the midfielder for quite some time with the intent to sign him for the next season. However, Chelsea has burst into the scene as a potential taker for the Monaco star and is reportedly leading the race for bagging him during the summer transfer window.
Bakayoko is known for his towering presence in the midfield against his opponents. His strength, as well as a presence of mind, has been one of the main reasons behind Monaco making their way till the Champions League semi-final this season. His strong physical presence in the air has also led him to defeat his opponents in aerial duels most of the times.
Reportedly, Manchester United have also been interested in the midfielder to bring him into Old Trafford in the next season. The Red Devils have been going through a pretty dismal season in the Premier League this term, not able to qualify in the top four once again. Jose Mourinho, their present manager, has been keeping a keen eye on the top class player and might make a bid to bag the player next summer.
However, looking at the current turn of events, Bakayoko might choose Chelsea over them in case he makes a move away from Monaco in the next season.
