Watford will look to prove after their defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the last match. They will face a stringent test against Leicester City in the next match of the Premier League. Walter Mazzarri’s side are currently positioned in the 13th place and have an outside chance to finish in the top half of the table.
Results have not gone in their favour although the Hornets are capable of pulling it off. They have a number of astonishing results in this season as they have already beaten the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United. Having already defeated the defending champions in the reverse fixture they will be looking forward to doing a double over the Foxes. But it would not be easy as the Foxes are a much better side after shrugging off their initial jitteriness.
The Hornets haven’t registered a win in the last four away matches and would be very adamant to secure their first away win in a long time.
Predicted 4-3-3 Watford lineup Against Leicester City
Defence
Heurelho Gomes has assured his gaffer with a number of top class performances and he will be hoping for another complete performance.
The three-man defence system didn’t work in the last match and Mazzarri will be back to his usual four-man backline. A number of defenders are injured but looking at the current scenario they are expected to be available for this big game.
Miguel Britos and Sebastian Prodl will be taking the responsibility of the Hornets defence.
Jose Holebas needs to be tight with his defensive play as he will be up against a certain Riyad Mahrez.
Daryl Janmaat will hold his right back position.
Midfield
Etienne Capoue will be aiming to reach a new high when he will start in the anchoring role.
Tom Cleverly has played a very influential role so far and he continues to be in the good book of Mazzarri. With no relegation looming near, Abdoulaye Doucoure would be much relaxed and would try to concentrate on the match.
Attack
M’Biya Niang has proven his worth in the Premier League and since his arrival in the Premier League, he has enjoyed every minute of the English top tier. He will start from the left wing.
Nordin Amrabat will be hogging the right wing.
Watford’s main weapon is their captain Troy Deeney. He has been the main strength behind Hornet’s form and Mazzarri would be once again banking on him.
