Alexandre Lacazette has been one of the best players of the current season of football, displaying some superb skills and scoring crucial goals to contribute in what has been a fairly good season for his current club Olympique Lyonnais. This talented French striker has attracted interest from big name clubs from all over Europe, one of the being the Premier League club Arsenal.
Reports suggest that The Gunners have already made a bid for the prolific scorer which amounts to £28 million, only to find it get rejected by his current club Lyon. However, the Frenchman’s club coach Jean-Michael Aulus has stated recently that the striker might leave for the club “of his heart” during the next transfer window, given the price is right for the striker to be taken away.
Lacazette has been one of the success stories for Lyon since he has been given a place in the first team after finishing his training from Lyon’s football academy. The sensational striker has already played 274 matches for the French Ligue 1 team and has scored 127 goals in all for them so far.
Lacazette is known for his scoring abilities, but apart from that he is also a very good athlete and can sprint with or without the ball. His mesmerising dribbling skills are good enough to bamboozle the defence of any top class club on any given day. He is equally dangerous from open play as well as set piece situations and is equipped with the abilities to finish from close range and unleash a cannonball of a shot from distance to find the back of the net with absolute ease.
Arsenal, to say the least, are having a pretty dismal season this term in the English Premier League. Having finished at the second position last season, The Gunners are stranded at the fifth place and might not make it to the top four of the table with the current season almost coming to a close.
That might be detrimental to the North London club in the way of signing the French star, given the fact that he will be looking forward to joining a club which will give him exposure to Champions League football in case he leaves his current team in the next transfer window.
His current club coach Aulus has referred to the fact that Lacazette might leave the club, given he chooses his destination wisely for the next season. The brilliant youngster has a bright future ahead of him, and Arsenal would like to capitalise on that by bringing him in for the next season.
