William Carvalho is being pursued by a number of big name clubs from all over Europe including Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion. His form has been splendid of late and he has performed exceptionally well in both the club level as well as the international arena.
Currently playing for the Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon, the midfielder’s strong presence just in front of the backline for his team has been comprehensive throughout the current season. The 25-year-old can play the holding role in the midfield as well as seek to help the strikers with crucial passes, thus playing a link-up between the defenders and strikers.
With this season almost over, Arsenal are still doubtful to book their place in the top four for the next season. They had an almost forgettable season and the team management is looking to revamp the side big time. A number of players have been linked with the North London club and Carvalho is one of the top names in their priority list.
Reportedly, Arsenal’s arch rivals Liverpool are also on the wing, awaiting their chance to bid for the Portuguese midfielder. However, it comes as a surprise for both the clubs with West Bromwich Albion bursting into the scene. As per sources, the Baggies are ready with a £30 million bid for the influential midfielder to bag him for the next season.
Carvalho has been an integral part of the Sporting as well as Portugal National team in the recent times and he is growing in prowess and precision with every match he is playing. He can bamboozle opponent team players with his eye-widening dribbling skills and also has the ability to thread accurate passes into the opponent half.
His concentration on the ball is also very strong as he can hold off his opponents for a considerable amount of time. His ball clearing and clean tackles also ensure the safety of his defence in the face of relentless attacks from the opponent strikers.
Arsenal has been looking for quite a long time now to get the 25-year-old midfielder into their lineup only to see their attempts so far to bag him go into vain.
The Gunners, however, have not disclosed what amount they are going to bid this time around if they once again go in for the Portuguese. It goes without saying that Arsenal is being closely contested by Liverpool and West Brom in the race to make Carvalho wear their colours in the next season.
