A number of changes are expected at Manchester United when the transfer window opens in the summer. A couple of players are expected to leave the club and we can see a very busy transfer window as Jose Mourinho is preparing his final draft of players he wants to see next season. United invested heavily in the last summer to bring Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan but have not been able to reap the benefit of spending so much money.
But United hierarchy are satisfied on how the team have performed so far and is set to sanction Mourinho another huge transfer kitty to sign his favourite players. The Red Devils have already been linked with a number of players and it remains to be seen which player arrives at last.
Romelu Lukaku
The Belgian striker is currently the hottest property in the transfer market. He has so far has blasted the net on 24 occasions and his form has created a buzz among the top clubs.
United have been finding a top striker and the recent injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic has fuelled the search. Zlatan suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury which could almost end his United career as he will be out for a period of as much as nine months. Reports emerged that Mourinho is ready to step up interest in the player who recently rejected the latest contract offer from Everton. Lukaku wouldn’t come cheap as Everton would definitely want to cash in on their prized asset.
Bernardo Silva
The 22-Year-old reportedly has been the target for United after his stellar season with Monaco and United are the favourites to land the player. The attacking playmaker has netted on nine occasions and has assisted 11 times in this season. Mourinho is approaching with a long term plan at United and he only wants the kind of players who would fit in his philosophy. Creativity wise United have not set the benchmark this season and Mourinho wants more from his side. Silva has played on the right side mostly but can be used anywhere in the attacking third. A fee in the region of £42m should be enough to tempt Monaco to sell the player.
James Rodriguez
If rumours are to be believed the Real Madrid star has expressed his interest to join the Red Devils. He has struggled to get regular game time under Zidane and expected to be sold in the summer. The playmaker is looking for a club where he could play an important role and Mourinho’s side would be the perfect destination. The player shares the same agent Jorge Mendes with Mourinho which might play a key role in the transfer.
