Watford will be playing for full three points when they entertain Liverpool at Vicarage Road. The Hornets are hovering at the 10th place with 40 points and will try to secure as many points as they can from the remaining matches.
Watford haven’t been able to cash in on their form as Walter Mazzarri’s side have been very inconsistent in terms of results. But the Hornets are having a good run of form at their home ground and looking at the current scenario they might come out with a point against the Reds.
If we recollect the memory of the last match it was sheer Liverpool domination as the Reds piled on six goals past the Hornets defence earlier in this season. Hornets will be playing with no pressure but there will be expectations from them.
Predicted 4-3-3 Watford Lineup Against Liverpool
Defence
Goalkeepers of late thirties have been a rage in this season and Heurelho Gomes has been a member of that team. The 36-year-old has been the preferred first choice keeper for Mazzarri and will be given the task to manage the Watford goal.
Miguel Britos will be paired up with Sebastian Prodl in the centre of defence and they need to put a brand of organised football as Liverpool have the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino.
Jose Holebas has been very promising throughout the season and can also score goals with his outraging runs through the flanks.
Daryl Janmaat loves to overlap and he will be on the right side of the defence.
Midfield
Etienne Capoue started the season in brilliant form but has failed to build on that. He will try to dig deep from his holding midfield position.
Manchester United reject Tom Cleverley has been permanently signed by the Hornets from Everton and he will be stepping up to make a statement.
Abdoulaye Doucoure will complete the midfield trio. The 24-year-old has been the find of this season and will continue to grow.
Attack
M’Baye Niang has to step up on this occasion to emerge as the better team in this match. The 22 year’s rise to prominence hasn’t gone unnoticed and he will have the chance to build the attack from the left side.
Nordin Amrabat will be looking for openings and will try to exploit the mistakes of James Milner.
Troy Deeney has been the sole provider of goals for the Hornets and the responsibility will be once again on him.
