Die Englische Woche will take place in the Bundesliga this week. Matchday 27 will be played in midweek, much like the English leagues. League leaders Bayern Munich will try to firmly grip their fifth consecutive Bundesliga title when they face a tough challenge against TSG Hoffenheim on Tuesday. Julian Nagelsmann’s Hoffe are in a good run at the moment and will provide a perfect challenge for Bayern before they get ready for an action-packed month of April. Here is the predicted Bayern lineup to face Die Kraichgauer.
Goalkeeper: Manuel Neuer missed the previous game against Augsburg on Saturday. He is also expected to be on the sidelines for this one and Sven Ulreich should gear up for another start between the sticks for Bayern.
Right Back: Rafinha is expected to start ahead of Philip Lahm on Tuesday as Carlo Ancelotti will have one eye on the weekend fixture against Borussia Dortmund.
Center Back(R): Jerome Boateng‘s performance against Augsburg was very promising and therefore, he is expected to retain his place in the starting lineup.
Center Back(L): Mats Hummels will partner alongside his fellow German International. The former Dortmund defender was not as much effective against Augsburg but will be eager to impress vs Hoffenheim.
Left Back: Juan Bernat will probably retain his place in the starting lineup as well despite having a bad game against Augsburg. Bayern wouldn’t want to risk it by starting David Alaba considering the big clash vs BVB is around the corner.
Central Defensive Midfielder: Arturo Vidal will get back into the starting lineup for Bayern. The Chilean midfielder was absent in their last game. He will have a tough task of containing his future teammate Sebastian Rudy on Tuesday night.
Central Defensive Midfielder: Thiago Alcantara will once again start from a deeper position in midfield. Which wouldn’t make much difference in the performance of the Spanish International. He will once again be a crucial outlet for Bayern in going forward.
Right Wing: Robben came on from the bench in the Bavarian Derby on Saturday but is expected to start vs Hoffenheim. It will be interesting to see how he performs against the lively wingbacks of Hoffenheim.
Central Attacking Midfielder: Muller’s performance have seemingly improved when he was deployed in a more central role. He will once again start as the central attacking midfielder, hoping to use his clever positioning to create space for his team.
Left Wing: Franck Ribery might start once again on the left flank. There he would look to use his dribbling power and individual effort to breach past a strong opposition defence.
Striker: Robert Lewandowski will look to extend his scoring tally of 24 goals and to overtake Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the leading scorer in the Bundesliga. He is currently on the back of scoring a hattrick against Augsburg in their last game.
