Jason Denayer has been one of the better young players to attract the eyes of the Premier League as well as European clubs over the last few years. He has majorly spent his career on loan stints with European giants like Celtic and Galatasaray and is now eyeing a permanent deal with a major club. Currently, he is playing on loan at Sunderland from Manchester City.
Manchester City has not been able to give the Belgian international a chance to play in the first team since his signing in 2013, primarily due to the presence of stalwarts like his compatriot Vincent Kompany and Argentine defender Otamendi in their defence. They have let him out on loan for experience with some of the biggest clubs in Europe and probably will continue to do the same in the future as well.
Reportedly, Manchester City is not looking to part ways with the Belgian youngster as of now but does not also guarantee him a part in their present senior team. As per City, they want the youngster to get a lot more exposure with other clubs on loan before making him a part of the first eleven on a regular basis.
Jason Denayer has been one of the better players for teams like Celtic and Galatasaray and has helped them to win accolades during his stay at both the clubs.
The Belgian Under 21 player has been a star in the defence with his exceptional ball possession and ability to hold on to the ball. He is also known for his ability to block opponents from shooting on goal and can be a very handy team player with short passes that he plays into the opposition half.
With amazing skill sets like that, there might be a number of options open for the young defender in the new season. He has been one of the bright spots for his current club Sunderland, who have been going through a pretty dismal period in the current season. So a permanent move to the Stadium of Light cannot be ruled out for the Belgian youngster in the coming season.
A possible move to either Scotland or Turkey might be also on the cards for Denayer. He has been prolific in defence for both the clubs and has been praised for his brilliant display on the field. However, it is now subject to the player’s as well as the club’s interest to offer him a permanent deal this summer.
