Tottenham Hotspur have come a long way in the Premier League and have become one of the most admired attacking sides of the League. Mauricio Pochettino has built a squad around the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Kane, Kyle Walker and Christian Eriksen and so far has been able to give Chelsea some sort of competition for the Premier League title.
Spurs need to close the gap with Chelsea and for that, they have to keep the winning form intact. Mauricio Pochettino’s side will face Watford with an aim to pile more pressure on Chelsea who somehow managed to hold on their lead at the top after defeating Manchester City 2-1.
If things continue like this, this would be the second season in running that Spurs would finish in the top four position. In the last season, Pochettino’s side surprised everyone by grabbing the third spot in the Premier League.
White Hart Lane has become a fortress this season as the North London side are yet to lose a match on their home ground. Also, the fact could work their way is that they have never lost a match in the English top tier against Watford.
Predicted 4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Lineup Against Watford
Defence
Hugo Lloris has made some outstanding saves this season to save his team from the blushes. The Tottenham captain has been in fine form this term and will be seeking to maintain the momentum. He didn’t feature in the 3-1 win against Swansea City but is expected to get fit before this match.
Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld have been a part of the defence which has leaked a mere 22 goals this season. This indicates the quality of the Spurs defence.
The injury to Danny Rose has paved the way for Ben Davies who took his chance and has been a regular member of the starting lineup.
Kyle Walker will be in the right back position.
Midfield
Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele will be in the charge of the midfield. The absence of Victor Wanyama has made Dier move back to the midfield and the results have been positive. Dier scored the winner against Burnley and continues to be a massive game changer for Spurs.
Attack
Moussa Sissoko has failed to live up to his big-money price tag but will get another chance to impress the Spurs hierarchy. He should start on the right flank.
Dele Alli has been in phenomenal form and he has to maintain his impact.
Christian Eriksen will fill the no. 10 position.
Heung- Min Son is likely to lead the line.
