Though the introduction of Marco Silva seemed to have helped the Tigers find some form a couple of months ago, Hull City have just not been able to find consistency this season and are currently struggling in the 18th place in the points table, three points off Swansea in the 17th place with nine games to go this season.
They lost to Everton and Leicester City recently and though they beat the Swans not too long ago, they will need many such results to move out of the relegation scrap that is sure to take place in the business end of the season.
Marco Silva has what it takes to save the club and keep them in the top flight but if he is not given enough help from his players, he could well end up seeing Hull City drop into the Championship next season. If they are relegated, the Tigers are expected to lose a number of players to Premier League clubs in the transfer window at the end of the season and here are two such players who will surely leave the KCOM if Hull City are relegated this season:
Andrew Robertson:
Arguably one of the best players for the Tigers this season, Robertson has been in inconsistent form this campaign. A left-back by trait, Robertson has cemented a place in the side in this position for more than a year now and has 24 appearances to his name this season. He is the first choice left-back for the manager this season and his creativity and discipline have helped Hull City maintain some command over that wing.
At just 23, the Scottish star is a player for the future and there is little chance of him playing in the Championship next season. Stoke City and West Ham are already linked with a move for him in the summer but as the summer approaches, the defender is sure to attract more and more clubs.
Harry Maguire:
Another relatively young star who has been influential at the KCOM this season is defender Harry Maguire. Extensively linked with a move to West Ham at the end of the season, the 24-year old has been consistent at the back for the Tigers this season but he is yet to turn into a top class Premier League player at the moment.
However, he has all the attributes that make him a perfect fit for the English conditions and having made 46 appearances for the side, 29 of which came this season, Maguire is surely ready for the next step. He will not want to leave the KCOM where he is a regular first teamer but if Hull get relegated, he is sure to look at alternatives before the end of the transfer window.
