Across the two transfer windows, a host of players have arrived in the Premier League to test their potential. Very few of them managed to hog the limelight while the remaining players have been trying their best to acclimatise to the conditions.
Who would have thought Leicester City could emerge as the Premier League champions but they showed the world that nothing is impossible. similarly, Chelsea have shrugged off their last season disaster and are on their way towards lifting the trophy for the sixth time.
Three Best Signings Of This Season
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
The Swede striker’s move has to be the transfer of the season so far. When he arrived at Old Trafford no one expected the 35-year-old to thrive in the Premier League but he proved them wrong. Jose Mourinho signed the player from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in the last summer. The no. 9 announced his arrival at Manchester United by scoring the winning goal in the Community Shield final against Leicester City.
He surely doesn’t have the pace right now like other strikers but has used his skills and physicality brilliantly to sustain in the most competitive league in the Europe. He has so far found the net 26 times in all competitions this season.
N’Golo Kante
Probably the best central midfielder in the world right now. With a height of 5’7, the French midfielder has been dominating his opponents since the last season. Leicester City’s Premier League triumph would not have been possible without this little magician’s contribution. His excellence in the midfield earned him a big money move to the Stamford Bridge and he maintained his form in this season, sending Chelsea to the edge of their sixth Premier League title.
He has started in 27 games for the Blues as Antonio Conte has preferred him in the midfield alongside Nemanja Matic. His brilliant break up play and ability to roam all around the pitch has eased the pressure from the other players.
Manolo Gabbiadini
The Italian arrived at the St Mary’s under much expectation in this January transfer window and has immediately become a fan favourite. The 25-year-old has scored six goals in five matches for Southampton in all competitions including a brace in the EFL Cup final although couldn’t save his team from becoming the runners-up.
Since leaving Napoli the 25-year-old striker has reignited his form and his goals earned him an Italy call-up although he had to withdraw his name after suffering an injury recently.
