All is currently going well with Sean Dyche’s side and they will be facing a resurgent Swansea City side managed by a hugely experienced Paul Clement at the Liberty Stadium. Burnley’s away record is awful and barring two draws they have lost all the remaining away games so far and Swansea would like to rely on that stat. The Swans have managed to bounce back from their disastrous season till a few weeks back but still remains just 2 points above the relegation zone.
Swansea City emerged as the better team when the two teams locked horns in the reverse fixture. An 82nd-minute goal from Leroy Fer was enough for the Swans to inflict a defeat on Burnley. Since then things have changed rapidly. While Burnley have maintained their form on and off, the Wales club have been a revitalised side under their new manager winning the last three matches out of five. The Clarets’ away form has started to pick up at the right moment of this season and the gaffer will be looking for a full three points to cement their position in the top half of the table.
Predicted Burnley 4-4-1-1 lineup vs Swansea City
Defence
Tom Heaton will have the task to protect the Burnley goal. He has been handed the Burnley captaincy and the 30-year-old has been excellent for them this season.
Ben Mee will partner Michael Keane at the heart of the Clarets defence. Keane has made significant progress since his move from Manchester United and will be hoping to keep up the momentum.
Stephen Ward and Matthew Lowton are expected to start in the left back and right back position respectively. Lowton will have the responsibility of keeping Gylfi Sigurdsson in check.
Midfield
Joey Barton and Ashley Westwood are expected to start in the Clarets midfield. Barton has been instrumental since his return to Turf Moor in January. His energy and physicality would be very useful for them. This could be his last match in a Burnley jersey as he is set to face a lengthy ban from the FA after he accepted betting charges.
George Boyd and Robbie Brady will be the two wingers. Brady was a January signing from Norwich and has already scored one goal alongside one assist to his name.
Attack
Dyche had played with two strikers in the last match which had failed miserably as they were defeated by a relatively unknown Lincoln City in the FA Cup. With Ashley Barnes serving a suspension, Sam Vokes is expected to play in the No. 10 position. Andre Gray will be the lone forward up front.
