The stakes will be high when West Ham United will host Leicester City on Saturday. The West London giants have lost the last two matches and this is a must-win game for the Hammers. Leicester’s away record has been awful this season as they are yet to record a win away from home. They have lost ten and drawn three matches while playing away from the King Power Stadium. West Ham are winless in their last four matches and will be looking to pick a win over defending champions.
The Hammers have picked up just two points from the last four matches which has dashed their hopes of finishing in the top seven. On the other side, Leicester have made a remarkable comeback under the guidance of Craig Shakespeare and have won the last three matches including the Champions League second leg against Sevilla. West Ham hitman Andy Carroll is one goal shy from scoring his 50th Premier League goal.
The Hammers need to be consistent from now on as any further slip-up would hurt their hopes of finishing in the top half of the table. Also, they have to improve their home form as they have registered only one win in the last six matches.
Predicted 4-3-3 West Ham United Lineup against Leicester City
Defence
Darren Randolph is set to keep his place under the bar.
Jose Fonte and Winston Reid will marshall the Hammers backline. The arrival of Fonte has given the much-needed solidity to the Hammers defence.
Aaron Cresswell and Cheikhou Kouyate need to be at their best on the flanks to stop a galvanised Leicester City.
Midfield
Pedro Obiang will be in the holding midfield role. He has been a midfield engine and can run tirelessly all across the pitch.
Mark Noble was severely criticised by the Hammers supporters but Slaven Bilic will rely on him. Alongside him will be Manuel Lanzini. Lanzini’s swift movements and slick passing would be the key for the London giants.
Attack
Michail Antonio has been the stand out player for the Hammers and is set to continue on the left flank. The 26-year-old has played in possibly every position this season.
Sofiane Feghouli will be on the right wing. He hasn’t had many chances and will try to cement his place in the starting lineup.
Andy Carroll will be leading the Hammers attacking line. The lanky forward has been struggling with injuries and hasn’t been that impressive till now.
