April could be a make or break season for Real Madrid. Los Blancos are currently leading the points table by two points and will take on Alaves in an attempt to lift the La Liga title since they last did in the 2011-12 season.
Zinedine Zidane’s side still has a game in hand as their match against Celta Vigo is yet to be rescheduled. Unlike the other teams where a number of players have been injured in the international break, Zidane has a fully fit squad to choose from.
Added to that, the blistering form of Cristiano Ronaldo in his native jersey would be a boost for the French gaffer. Zidane will have the audacity to tweak his starting lineup given the tough fixtures ahead. The defending European champions have to entertain the top three other teams in the remaining fixtures but the advantage is Madrid will be able to seek the home comfort as all the games will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu. They have to win this match to keep the pressure mounting on Barcelona.
Predicted 4-3-3 Real Madrid Lineup Against Alaves
Defence
Keylor Navas has rescued Real Madrid a number of times this season and will be once again in the goal to thwart the attacks of the Alaves players.
Marcelo will be back from his international duties and will start at the left back position.
Sergio Ramos has really impressed with his goal scoring antics and will be at the helm of Madrid defence alongside Pepe.
Dani Carvajal should continue his impressive form on the right side of the defence.
Midfield
Zidane will most probably stick with his three-man midfield formula. Casemiro will be at the anchor role and will provide an additional cover to the backline.
Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will be ahead of Casemiro. Modric and Kroos have been consistent performers for the Spanish giants and should keep their place in the starting lineup.
Attack
Zidane will prefer the trio of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale across the front three to deliver the most needed cutting edge to the team. Ronaldo netted his 71st goal for Portugal and would definitely want to show the similar kind of form.
Gareth Bale has been a continuous strength on the right wing and a lot will be depending on him.
Karim Benzema hasn’t managed a goal against Alaves till now and will be very adamant to open his account against them.
