Crystal palace manager Sam Allardyce will be hoping to carry forward their winning run to the next match. The Eagles will entertain West Bromwich Albion in the next match. Crystal Palace have been struggling in the Premier League and Allardyce’s side have notched up just two wins in their last ten matches and they have to be at their best to cause an upset.
Tony Pulis’ men are unbeaten in the last five matches and are one of the most impressive teams in the Premier League. Palace won their last match 1-0 against Middlesbrough courtesy of a Patrick Van Aanholt stunner. Allardyce simply cannot afford to lose any further matches as it would pile more misery on them and make relegation a very distinct possibility.
Predicted 4-2-3-1 Crystal Palace Lineup Vs West Brom
Defence
Wayne Hennessey is set to keep his place in the Palace goal. He kept a clean sheet in the last match and Allardyce is going to continue keeping his faith on the 30-year-old.
Patrick Van Aanholt is an obvious choice at the left back position and should start against the Baggies. The January signing from Sunderland has made an impact at the Selhurst Park since his arrival and will definitely feature in the next match.
Mamadou Sakho and Scott Dann will have the duty of marshalling the Eagles’ defence. Sakho arrived from Liverpool in January in a much-hyped transfer deal and should make the second start for his new club.
Joel Ward is one of the best right-backs in the Premier League and Allardyce is set to reinstate him in the starting lineup.
Midfield
James McArthur has been one of the shining lights for Crystal Palace when it has otherwise wbeen a disappointing season for the Eagles. McArthur will have the task of thwarting the attacks of Nacer Chadli and co. He has been very consistent this season and have also racked up five goals.
Luka Milivojević is set to partner McArthur at the heart of the Palace midfield. He was a £13m deadline day signing in the winter transfer window and his physicality and passing would be necessary for Crystal Palace to get past a resilient West Brom attack.
Yohan Cabaye will operate from the No. 10 position and will have the license to roam around in the final third. The French midfielder has been struggling this season but should start in the next match.
Attack
Despite a barren run of games, Andros Townsend is expected to start on the right wing. Wilfried Zaha will have the task to operate from the left wing. The ex-Manchester United player has scored 4 goals this season and can be threatening on his day. Christian Benteke is expected to start upfront.
