Celtic will be looking to maintain their domination in the Scottish Premiership when they will travel to the Tynecastle Stadium to face Hearts. The Hoops have an unassailable lead of 25 points and a win would virtually seal the title for them.
The current League toppers are yet to taste a defeat in the Premiership and Brendan Rodger’s side has the chance to earn the ‘Invincibles’ tag as Arsenal did in the 2003-04 season.
Earlier this season, Celtic blanked Hearts 4-0 in the Scottish Premiership and would hope to pile further misery on them. Hearts haven’t managed a win in the last ten matches against the Hoops and the chance of creating an upset is looking very bleak.
Celtic are the clear favourites for the match and would be eyeing a full three points from this match. Rodgers is expected to field a strong lineup in a hope to clinch the title here.
Predicted 4-2-3-1 Celtic Lineup Against Hearts
Defence
Craig Gordon kept a clean sheet against Slovenia while playing for Scotland and will be up against his former club where he spent seven years in the first team.
Mikael Lustig has become Mr Dependable for Brendan Rodgers and will hope to emulate his form in this match in the right back position.
Although Rodgers has rotated his defenders this season, Dedryck Boyata and Erik Sviatchenko will get the nod ahead of others. Their mix of youthfulness and experience has so far done a wonderful job for the Bhoys.
Kieran Tierney has been a sensation in this season and will fill in the right back position.
Midfield
Nir Bitton will be employed in the midfield and Scott Brown will be accompanying him. The Celtic captain has had a brilliant season so far and will play a key role in this match.
James Armstrong is probably the second best player after Moussa Dembele and has been superb with his attacking display. Rodgers will deploy him in the No. 10 position to utilise his pace.
Attack
Since his transfer from Aston Villa, Scott Sinclair has emerged as one of the best wingers of the Premiership and will definitely trouble the Hearts defence.
James Forrest will get his chance on the right flank.
Moussa Dembele has been a rage this season for the Bhoys. The 20-year-old has been in devastating form and has scored on a daily basis. He has so far netted 32 goals for the Scottish giants and would be hoping to continue his goalscoring form.
